HOW WE CARE for God's Creation
The Ottawa Catholic School Board is actively demonstrating how We Care for God's Creation - including the environment, the welfare of others, and personal wellness.
Keeping with the Gospel value of Stewardship of Creation, our Board's current spiritual theme includes the elements of sacredness of creation, the value of human life, wellness, care for the environment, and global awareness.
Part of this whole-system responsibility for environmental education includes modelling environmentally sound practices in our facilities and operations. Check out the links below to see what our greater school community is doing to show We Care.

Ontario EcoSchool CARES - CERTIFIED SCHOOLS! The Ottawa Catholic School Board is proud to announce that seven schools have recently become certified as Ontario EcoSchools! This environmental education program works to highlight the choices we make in operating our schools and in planning classroom programs based on the Ontario curriculum. WE CARE for Earth Hour 2009 - March 27 in our schools The Board supports WWF's Earth Hour – where millions around the world turn off their lights in support of action on climate change. WE CARE for Earth Day Canada 2009 - April 22 During Earth Week 2009, the Board and all it's schools participated in Earth Day Canada 2009. Mother Teresa High School in Nepean led the City of Ottawa as the Champion School to host the Earth Day 2009 Live It Up event. Read more...
