Newcomers to Canada - Family Welcome Centre
The first stop for newcomers to Canada should be our Board's Family Welcome Centre. The friendly and accommodating staff will conduct an assessment to determine whether there is a need for English Second Language instruction (ESL), and will also assist the student in entering the Ottawa Catholic school system. The assessment should take place as soon as possible following the arrival of the student in Canada.

Direction of School Support
By registering your child in an Ottawa Catholic school, you have chosen to support Catholic education through direction of your school support. When you designate yourself as a separate school supporter, you help foster a strong political voice through your elected representative (trustee) in ensuring your rights to a Catholic education for the young people in our province.
Make sure your voice counts - check your tax bill to make sure you are supporting Catholic education...
