ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Opened in 1990, Holy Trinity Catholic High School is located in Kanata. A fully-equipped facility, our school has been designed as a "school for the twenty-first century." Holy Trinity provides a broad range of programs including Life Skills, High Needs and Achievement Centre initiatives.
Katimavik Preschool Resource Centre and Katimavik Kindergarten/School Age Program are located here.

The Holy Trinity Catholic High School Council functions as an advisory
body to the school principal and, on occasion, to the Board. The Council provides advice on a
variety of issues and reflects the school community in composition and function.Meetings are held

HOW WE LIVE OUR CATHOLIC FAITH
Our Belief
The Holy Trinity Catholic High School community believes that a Catholic
high school is one in which the teachings of Jesus Christ are integrated into the day-to-day curriculum
and social fabric of high school life. We have many opportunities to pray and demonstrate our Catholic
faith including: prayer services, classroom liturgies, daily prayer, and active pastoral team, opportunities
for individual reflection in our chapel, and retreats for staff and students.
Our Partners
We live our Catholic faith by focusing on service, relationships, the Word of God, and lay witness and
leadership. Our chaplain coordinates and animates, with local pastors, the many areas of our faith life.
We also have Catholic symbols throughout our school and our parish representative is our liaison with
the parishes.
Demonstrating Our Faith
Holy Trinity Catholic High School demonstrates its commitment to the community by:
- Annual canned food and clothing drives, Community Service days, Terry Fox Walk
- Thinkfast activity for Development and Peace, Shepherds of Good Hope, St. Mary's Home

HOW WE KNOW WE ARE SUCCEEDING
Assessing Student Progress
The results from the EQAO Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics for the applied academic courses are displayed at the top of the page in graphs. Students who achieved level 3 or 4 meet provincial expectations. Provincial results are provided in tables beside the school graphs. The results from the EQAO Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) are presented next. Successful completion of the OSSLT is a graduation requirement.

PRESERVING OUR SCHOOL HISTORY - LAST YEAR IN REVIEW
In partnership with home, parish and community, Holy Trinity Catholic High School ensures that the teachings and values of Jesus Christ are integrated in all aspects of school life. To achieve this goal, we have formed a School/Student Success Team comprised of administration, teaching and support staff and supported through the cooperation of students and parents. We will develop our school plan based upon School Board initiatives and the following Gospel values: Faith, Community, Partnership, Persons, Excellence, Justice, and Stewardship.
We will continue to: implement new Ministry curricula, assessment and evaluation policies; infuse Gospel values in all areas of curricula and through social action and justice initiatives; promote and celebrate the many accomplishments of students in all aspects of student life; ensure all students are given the opportunity to be successful.

We believe our school should be at the centre of community activities. Holy Trinity Catholic High School is currently running at 100% capacity, with activities scheduled weeknights and on many weekends. Examples of who uses our facilities include:

- Kanata Junior Badminton Club
- Katimavik Child Care Centre
In addition to these examples, over 100 different courses, programs and workshops are offered to the community through the Continuing Education programs.

AWARDS: In June of each school year, individual students' achievements are recognized in the athletic area at our school banquets. Graduates are recognized for their academic excellence at the graduation ceremony. Grade 7 and 8 students are also recognized in June. Academic awards for all other grades are held at a ceremony in October.
ACHIEVEMENTS: Reach for the Top: ranked as top Catholic high school in the city; Trinity Improv Team is going for their 6th straight year to the Improv National Championships; Senior Boys Football NCSSAA Tier 2 City Champions 07/08; Senior Girls Basketball NCSSAA Tier 2 City Champions 07/08; Senior Girls Volleyball NCSSAA Tier 2 City Champions 07/08; 7&8 Girls Hockey - Gold Medal St. Matthew Tournament 2008, 7&8 Boys Hockey - Silver Medal St. Matthew Tournament 2008; 7&8 Boys Badminton Doubles - City Champions 07/08 National Capital Boys AA Hockey Champion 3 years in a row and OFSAA competitors.
